George Barkhuizen started his legal career by studying for a Paralegal Diploma at the South African Law School in Cape Town, which he passed with distinctions in all subjects, he then pursued studying the National Credit Act and attended the first Debt Counselling course offered by the National Credit Regulator in the Western Cape in 2006 and in so doing became one of the first registered Debt Counsellor listed in South Africa.

He then followed his passion for the South African Judicial system and obtained his LLB Law Degree from the University of South Africa and completed his Practical Legal Training at the University of Cape Town.

He was admitted as an attorney in the Western Cape High Court in 2015.

In 2018 George Barkhuizen became the director of Barkhuizen Attorneys.

George has established expertise in various fields of law, with a special interest in Civil Litigation, Evictions, Contract Law, Debt Counselling, Consumer law, Family Law, Divorce matters, Estate Planning, Administration of Deceased Estates and Wills.
